Ron Hines Vice President, Themed Entertainment Paramount Consumer Products & Experiences Ron began his career in the themed entertainment industry in 1983, as a line employee at a small theme park in Houston, TX. In the following years, Ron completed his BFA and MA in Theatrical Design and set off on a winding career path. It was in 1991, beginning as a scenic artist in television production, that Ron first worked at his future home of Nickelodeon! Over the years as a freelance designer, he had the good fortune to work with several world class brands such as Universal, Disney, Hard Rock, and AT&T to name a few. Ron has worked on a wide variety of project formats including theme parks, waterparks, resorts, cruises, live entertainment, exhibits, and corporate events. Eventually settling down at Paramount Global, Ron is responsible for all open & operating Location-Based Experiences projects globally. Some notable career projects include Universal’s Islands of Adventure and Nickelodeon Universe Mall of America, as well as theme parks and waterparks in Europe, Asia, and Australia. The thru-line in this broad expanse of projects has been his commitment to delivering a product that will enhance the guest’s experience and deepen their connection to the brand. Although the projects can range from modest to massive in scope, Ron continually seeks to identify those critical guest touch points in the original creative concepts, and makes it his primary goal to maintain the creative integrity of that guest experience all the way through to opening day…and beyond!
