As Director of Community Relations, Sara works to support the mission, vision, and values of Mall of America while also promoting inclusivity not just for internal team members, but for the community at large. She is responsible for implementing initiatives that advance Mall of America’s efforts to catalyze broad impact in the community by engaging and strengthening relationships with cross-sector stakeholders.
Since 2012, she has led efforts for Mall of America that include the official proclamation of being a Yellow Ribbon Company, creating a first of its kind body positivity partnership with the National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA), and serving on the Mall of America internal Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging Council.
Prior to joining the Mall of America team, Sara spent 10 plus years in the non-profit industry. She led positions in development, event management and community building with organizations such as March of Dimes and AchieveMpls.
