Laura Utecht

Laura Utecht serves as the Director of Communications for Mall of America. In this role, she leads the communications strategy to support the overall marketing vision and goals for the company. This includes public relations, media relations, social media, and government affairs. Prior to joining Mall of America, Utecht was the Manager of Public Relations for Radisson Hotel Group Americas. Utecht oversaw the public relations efforts for the company to drive brand performance and awareness. During this time, she developed public relations campaigns, utilized external communications tactics to increase brand equity, along with managing crisis communications. Utecht began her career by spending nearly a decade working in the news industry. She was the morning reporter and midday anchor for FOX6 News in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Utecht was also the morning anchor for the NBC and CBS affiliate in Duluth, Minnesota, where she was nominated for an Upper Midwest Emmy Award. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Mass Communications at St. Cloud State University.
