As the Vice President of Security for North America’s largest entertainment and retail complex, Will’s main responsibility is ensuring the safety of the 32 million annual visitors, employees, and celebrity guests. His role includes oversight of the entire security department providing direction and leadership to ensure established goals and objectives are met, partnering with local, state, and federal authorities, managing the department budget, and managing the development, implementation and refinement of policies, standards, and guidelines. Bernhjelm started at Mall of America in 2002 and spent 10 years in the Minnesota Army National Guard, deploying twice overseas.
