Lori is half of the Lori & Julia show, one of the original programs on myTalk 107.1 – where she joins her best friend turned sister-in-law weekdays from 3 to 6pm. These “drivetime divas” have been driving afternoon radio for over 20 years!
Lori and her husband KC live in St. Paul. Though Lori is proud of her hometown of Duluth, the place where her family settled in after being on the road during the time her dad, The Zipper, served in the military. Lori became a “bonus-mom” as she likes to call it when she married KC and is now a “Glam-ma” to the grandkids that came along later.
Lori has an affinity for travel and after years of working in corporate travel as well as taking her own leisure vacations, she can now play trip advisor to just about anyone. On each of Lori’s trips she’ll bring along a stack of books and get through one a day! Unless her travel takes her to Seattle where she spends her time with family including her mom, the Mooti.
Lori has long been fluent in “Hollywood Speak” and the insight she brings to the airwaves on celebrity and pop culture from day one have written the playbook the station now follows across all shows throughout the week. Occasionally Lori will deviate from celebrity talk, to unabashedly talk about sex during her sex Monday segment and beyond. Much of this comes from a place of passion for Lori to empower women and foster body autonomy.
She is a supporter of Planned Parenthood as well as a big advocate for suicide prevention and mental health awareness.
